Columbia Helicopters Inc. Programmer Analyst in Aurora, Oregon
The position is responsible for meeting with users to analyze and establish business needs & develop windows & web-based solutions using SQL, C#.NET & ASP.NET and SSRS or Crystal Reports.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
50% - Design, develop and maintain custom SQL databases and web-based data entry & reporting tools.
30% - Collaborate with other personnel to design, develop, test, deploy and maintain custom ASP.NET solutions for company use.
15% - Document the solutions from both an end-user and technical perspective.
5% - Work with users to determine content and layout of reports.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelors’ degree in computer science or equivalent experience in education and training.
Strong experience (3 years’ minimum) with SQL Server (including T-SQL), including creating & maintaining custom databases, SSIS, SSRS and Analysis Services
Strong experience with web development (HTML, ASP.NET)
Some experience with data exchange via web services (SOAP, JSON, XML)
Objective-C coding skills and experience with XCode and iOS would be an advantage
Experience in full cycle software development, including analysis, design, development, testing and implementation
Requires strong analytical skills, high attention to detail, ability to effectively organize, and time/project management skill.
Knowledge of emerging technologies, standards, and best practices
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to be able to present ideas, concepts and proposals with a wide range of audiences
Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, collaborative environment
Must be able to work with a minimum of supervision and be proactive in seeking out opportunities to improve company operations through the application of web-based applications and Information Technology.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel
Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently
Conduct oneself in accordance with Company’s Core Values
