Kaiser Permanente Payroll/Time Specialist, Regional Staffing Office, Sunnyside Medical Center in Clackamas, Oregon

. Process payroll for assigned departments. Ensure that payroll issues with KSMC staff are resolved. Completes Primary Source Verification for assigned employees

Essential Functions: - Process timecards bi-weekly to ensure accurate compensation for assigned employees. - Tracks, monitors and completes Primary Source Verification of Licenses, Registrations and Certifications for assigned employees. Immediately notifies appropriate manager of any LCR issues - Distributes documented labor costs to correct departments. - Interprets contract language and applies the correct pay practices. Advises management on appropriate payroll practices based on the payroll status of the employee - Collaborates with employees to resolve payroll issues/errors - Participates as a member of various task forces representing KSMC payroll. Assists in defining payroll policy and procedure when it is absent from contract language - Conducts grievance arbitration research. - Audits timecards on a regular basis - Reconciles and tracks nursing vouchers cashed to the voucher log and then send to regional payroll. Process salary advances. Process education days to ensure payment of education leave hours. - Serves as a liaison for Workers Compensation claims for industrial insurance claim payment. - Resource for TIME program; participate in TIME in-services/training of staff and managers, and act as TIME program super-users for KSMC. - Produce monthly reports in collaboration with Managers and other department personnel, as needed or upon request. - Completes all agency tracking, billing, and evaluation processes (including daily tracking, biweekly and monthly summary reports to all managers and finance) using Shift wise software - All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: - One year experience in payroll. - Two years experience in general office procedures. - Working knowledge of Excel and Word. - Ability to access and use various data sources simultaneously. - Able to work cooperatively with co-workers and other departments for the benefit of the organization. - Automated timekeeping

Preferred Qualifications: - Two years payroll experience. - Work in a Union environment. - Associate Degree. - Working knowledge of Kaiser Permanente. - Math/accounting skills. - Knowledge of union payroll procedures and agency billing. - Report writing using Crystal Report Writer. - ANSOS/One-Staff - Lotus Notes
