6-8 years of experience relevant to this position including 3-4 years consulting experience preferred. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience preferred. Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to build rapport with team members and clients. Ability to travel as needed.

Role Description and Purpose
TheTechnical Lead s primary purpose is to provide technical consulting advisory toclients leadership on technical matters to an Oracle Commerce projectteam. Through demonstrated expertise and skills in web application designand development, this person will become an indispensable project resource aspart of a larger consulting team or an individual technical consultant onfor-fee product implementation, enhancement, integration, or auditprojects.
Expertise and workefforts focus primarily on being a subject matter expert on our Commerceproducts and coaching consulting engineers to ensure quality of projectdeliverables. The Tech Lead operates under minimal supervision on mediumto large size projects involving multiple products and/or platforms. Thisperson works closely with an architect, a Project Manager, and consultingengineers and achieves results through strong subject matter expertise,leadership, collaboration, and teamwork. To perform at this level, stronganalytical and consulting skills are required. The ability to communicateeffectively with team members and customers is a must. The TechLead will often coach other customer or partner engineers on development andimplemenation best practices.
EssentialDuties and Responsibilities
Consult directly withcustomers at various levels functional and technical. Collect and analyzecustomer requirements to complete accurate scoping and high quality design.
Collaborate withProject Manager to create the development schedule, including work effortestimates, work breakdown structure, project dependencies, resource allocation,etc.
Collaborate with thearchitect to ensure that the architectural vision is realized in the technicalspecifications and code created
Provide high qualitydevelopment contributions while providing technical leadership to developersthroughout entire project life cycle. Act as a player coach.
Contribute to thegrowth of Oracle Commerce business and improvement of OCC service deliverythrough the creation and sharing of knowledge on project experiences
Manage change controlprocess, including project scope control, assessing impact of change requests,estimating work effort for change requests, etc.
Manage source controlprocess and build process
Act as primary point ofresolution for technical issues, collaborating with the architect and/orProject Manager whenever necessary
Identify project risksthat arise during project execution and elevate them to the architect and/orProject Manager whenever necessary
Act as technicalliaison between all technical resources engaged on the project, whether as partof the Oracle Commerce Consulting team, the customer s team, and/or any 3rdpartyteams; help customer understand overall technical direction and progress
Conduct code reviewsthroughout the development phase, ensuring that best practices are followed andlessons learned are promulgated to entire team
Estimate level ofeffort to code and test moderately difficult to complex requirements
Create key projectdeliverables, including technical specifications, unit tests, and tested code
Coach and mentor othersin development best practices, the software development life cycle, and othercore technical skills and knowledge
Submit status updateson all project activities to the Project Manager
Essential Skills, Education and Work Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
A strong technical background in eCommerce, preferably Oracle Commerce (ATG/Endeca) and Commerce Cloud, but candidates with relevant experience in other technologies will also be considered.
At least 3 years of hands-on experience with development, system configuration, testing and documentation of Commerce solutions.
Demonstrated expertise in Java and UI development including: Java, Java Script (Knockout preferred), Booststrap, JQuery, node.js, HTML/CSS.
Knowledge of Cloud technologies and applications is strongly desired.
Experience working with customers and/or business stakeholders on Commerce implementations.
Experience with business and technical requirements gathering and analysis.
Strong communications skills in English and Spanish.

Availability to travel and work with a diverse set of Clients and high performing professionals.
A desire to be part of large, high-impact projects and grow in the process.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math or related field is required. A combination of 3-5 years of experience in relevant industry business practices, business consulting, and/or technical consulting is required; retail and telecommunications sectors are most desired.
In addition, thefollowing are critical skills required (or desired, where noted) to performwell in this position:
Experience leading software development teams
Extensive experience with the JBOSS and/or WebLogic Application Servers
Experience with web servers (e.g. Apache) is a must; experience with modproxy, modssl, and/or mod_jk is a plus
Experience developing on multiple Operating Systems (Linux, Unix, Windows, MacOS a plus)
Database experience with one of the following is a must, Oracle MSSQL, MySQL. DBA experience is a plus
Server side development (Java/J2SE) is a must have
Experience in writing web services (publishing or consuming)
Experience writing XML/XSL/XSD.
Experience with build processes and tools (Ant, Maven, etc.)
Experience with source control processes & tools (Perforce, Subversion, code branching)
Experience with code Refactoring and Profiling
UML and Shell Scripting experience is a must
Designing system architectures (hardware, OS networking) and performing sizing
Extensive experience working in various SDLC methodologies (waterfall, OUM, Scrum, etc.)

System integration via web services, RESTful services, or other open
Experience developing e-commerce applications is desired
Good coding practices (Javadoc, unit testing)
Experience with load and performance testing & tools

Solid presentation skills, great at developing rapport with customers and partners
