Business Solutions Analysts are responsible for designing and performing complex analysis contributing to the selection and implementation of business systems optimized to meet business requirements. Implements computer system requirements by defining and analyzing system problems; designing and testing standards and solutions. Administer systems configurations and parameters controlling system functionality. Minimize implementation risks through the development and adherence to change procedures.

This includes preparing and publishing meeting agendas/topics, providing any pre-reading or participant preparatory materials, leading requirements discussions and documenting Business or Technical Use Cases (Stories), high level Requirements and detailed Functional Requirements/Specifications.

EIM BSA’s are responsible for organizing, conducting and documenting Business and Technical requirements for EIM initiatives. They must be able to “translate” or relay the “meaning” of the Requirements to Solution Architects or Designers, such as how Business Users will use the data, application or process being designed. They will assist Architects/Designers with monitoring development work for adherence to the Requirement’s intent. This usually means that they will work with the Designers, Developers and SMEs to ensure that attributes, reports or other outputs of the design are in line with what the BA heard during the Requirements gathering sessions.

EIM BSA’s will work with Test/QA Teams in a similar fashion to ensure that they are performing System Integration, Functional and User Acceptance Testing in a manner that reflects the intent and content of what the BSA heard during the Requirements gathering sessions. An important EIM BSA function is also ensuring the integrity of the Requirements gathering to Design to Development to Test to Deployment by maintaining a Requirements Traceability Matrix throughout the life of the EIM initiative.


  • Analyzes and modifies existing data systems.

  • Determines system specifications and record layouts and develops procedures to process information. Interfaces with users and develops a system to meet user needs.

  • Develop the system and functional requirements.

  • Responsible for assessing available technologies to create development specifications as well as detailed test cases.

  • Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.

  • Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

  • Assist with testing and analyze results. Partner with end users to identify, evaluate, and communicate system incidents to appropriate technical resources for resolution.


  • 6-8 years of technical bank operations experience with in-depth experience as a systems analyst.

  • Excellent Analytical and problem-solving

  • Accountable for multiple tasks and coordinating competing deliverables

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills both face to face and remote

  • Experienced with user acceptance testing methodologies, principles, and practices of process development and implementation along with comprehensive banking/business unit system, software, and applications.

  • Advanced PC program skills with experience with Excel, data warehouse products, and other similar systems.

  • Ability to handle complex problems to achieve department goals.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for a variety of audiences (both technical and non-technical).

  • Ability to analyze problems of a technical nature with high accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Ability to accurately document problems and resolutions.

  • Advanced a high level of analytical ability to understand sophisticated programs/systems for resolving business problems. Ability to respond promptly to customer needs.

  • Strong ability to set goals and objectives, prioritize and plan work activities using time effectively, meet deadlines and commitments, and work independently with little or no directional guidelines from manager.

  • Experience with Financial Reporting, Data and Data Warehousing

  • Ability to organize, conduct and document Business and Technical Requirements meetings,

  • High degree of business Process and Data Flow analytical, diagramming and documentation experience,

  • Advanced ability to write simple SQL queries (T-SQL)

  • Advanced Visio Skills

  • Strong with SharePoint document management
