Robert Half Management Resources Document Control Specialist in Hillsboro, Oregon

Robert Half Management Resources has partnered with a large construction sub-contractor for an immediate need to fill the contract position of Document Control Specialist. This is a contract position that has the opportunity to hire on with this firm. In this role, the consultant will store, manage and track company documents. Additionally, the consultant will scan, image, organize and maintain documents, adhering to the company's document lifecycle procedures, and then archive inactive records in accordance with the records retention schedule. A large part of the job is to control the retrieval of documents. Often, this role receives and processes Requests for Information, or RFIs, from employees or clients and maintain the requests via tracking logs. As RFI procedures are updated, the consultant will create new templates. Assisting project managers developing and maintaining documents such as meeting minutes, drawings, specifications, approvals and related items. Periodically, the consultant might be responsible for training employees on records management procedures and policies, which include documentation, retention, retrieval, destruction and disaster recovery. Also assist with file migrations and audits, and perform administrative tasks as needed.
