As our Presentation Systems Manager, you will develop strategies for AV presentation systems, infrastructure, and processes for Nike’s WHQ conference centers. You will lead a diverse team of professionals to execute on these strategies to ensure the systems are leading edge and always show-ready. Your team will develop standard operating procedures for proper use of the presentation systems and train floor support and event technicians accordingly. You will collaborate with Production Services and other meetings and events leaders to constantly evolve Nike’s conference centers’ services & amenities and leverage your position to influence results and outcomes. You will lead, coach and develop your team to its full potential and manage employee performance using Nike’s Coaching for Excellence. You will collaborate with Enterprise Strategic Partners to ensure front-line work is being conducted at a consistently high level. You'll also manage an operating budget and drive capital improvement projects for the conference centers. To ensure that we continue to hire competent, ethical, and trustworthy individuals, all candidates must successfully complete a thorough background investigation prior to receiving any offer of employment from Nike.
Bachelor's degree in events/hospitality or related field ispreferred.
At least 6 years' management experience in related field required.
Superior interpersonal and customer service skills.
Strong networking and communication skills.
Able to communicate clearly and concisely (verbally & written)and develop relationships with Meetings & Events clients, vendors, andcontractors.
Strong attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
Able to keep manager informed of all aspects of events, projects,and responsibilities.
Able to work a flexible schedule driven by event business needswhich may include evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays.
Able to travel to/from event locations and venues including thoseoutside of WHQ, as needed.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications including Word,Excel, and PowerPoint required.
