APPLICATION DEADLINE: October 22, 2017 As an expert in the energy industry and customer service, we support and represent PGE to our largest customers and, in turn, advocate for these customers and the programs and products that benefit them within the company. This position's primary work location will eventually be in Salem, however, during the first year, the individual will be expected to report to downtown Portland 2-3 days/week. You will bring the following skills to our team: Typically 10 years of professional experience, with a comprehensive knowledge of strategic account management. Prior customer management experience in a service-related industry is desirable. Requires a Bachelor's Degree in business, finance, economics, mathematics or other technical discipline. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering is a preferred qualification. Thorough understanding of utility operations and business, including electricity fundamentals, pricing and power cost fundamentals, PGE's transmission and distribution system and how it works. Comprehensive knowledge of business principles and energy efficiency fundamentals. Employ strong business ethics, protect customer's confidential information and comply with a broad range of regulatory requirements Demonstrate ability to build and maintain a strong internal network. Strong team player who will support and back-up other Key Customer Managers with the objective of positive team behavior. Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to adapt to a continuously changing environment and work under pressure. Ability to walk significant distances and climb stairs, etc. Professional appearance required. Demonstrated ability to use basic safety and health procedures in an industrial and construction setting in environments that might include exposure chemicals, noise, and dust on customer premises. Must have a valid driver's license and a history of safe driving practices and must have the use of personal vehicle for business. Must be able to respond to customers on an on-call basis outside of normal business, including evenings, nights and weekends.
