Manages a team that is responsible for identifying relevant new business opportunities and designing "go-to-market" plans to deliver measurable and significant revenues. Consistently meets with potential customers and current customers to build pipeline.

Oversees and manages, through managers and directors, a team of business development representatives for a territory/region. The team is actively and frequently customer facing, providing the value proposition to business or org leaders, qualifying opportunities, and selling the value of the oracle solution. Provides operations management of lead qualification functions. Develops strategic and tactical plans for the division. Responsible for coaching, performance management, and career development of staff. Participates in the recruiting process and makes hiring decisions. Manages budget.

Extensive knowledge of Oracle*s sales methodologies, processes, and competitive and industry knowledge. Able to travel. Preferred Qualifications: BA/BS degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable. Assist in the creation of division strategy and consult with senior management in providing direction to ensure growth and financial success. Ensure a consistent approach of organizational policies and procedures.

Job Description

Reporting into the General Manager of Retail, you will be one of the crucial members of the Retail leadership team, working to ensure that all efforts product, sales, marketing, and otherwise are well-informed, thoughtfully planned, and positioned for best success.

The Retail Strategy team s focus is maintaining an authoritative connection to the retail industry at-large and doing the hard work to make things easy and impactful. You own market, product and channel strategy, aiming to build and optimize various aspects of our business, from the messaging of our differentiation and adoption within new channels, to identifying product needs, quantifying market opportunity, and prioritizing data & product investments. While you will have direct and significant impact to client engagements and revenue, this is primarily an internal-facing role, empowering all client-facing teams to do what they do best. While you ll develop business plans, financial projections, scope deliverable specifications, and propose pricing & terms of use, this is not a product development role but one in which you ensure the product management teams are most successful in what they build.

Primary responsibilities include

TEAM MANAGEMENT - Recruit, manage, mentor, and develop a team of A-player market, product, and channel strategists capable of bringing game-changing data and analytics offerings to the Retail industry.

MARKET STRATEGY Monitor market trends to curate a masterful view of the retail landscape for all internal teams. Then work with all internal teams to create solid positioning and GTM strategies.

PRODUCT STRATEGY - Identify opportunities to secure new (and leverage existing) assets to bring differentiated offerings to market. Package existing offerings such they are best delivered & received.

CHANNEL STRATEGY Work closely with the teams managing key media & channel partners to optimize GTM and revenues. Identify, engage, and partner with key players in non-penetrated channels.

SALES ENABLEMENT Work to empower the GTM teams to be authoritative & successful in their efforts by developing training sessions, industry digests, sales collateral, talk tracks, and other sales tools.

COLLABORATIVE DELIVERY Work cross-organizationally with GTM, Marketing, Product Development, Digital Partnerships and other teams to align Retail efforts with cross-company development work & plans.

INDUSTRY PRESENCE Grow our influence in the retail space as participants at industry events, generating thought leadership, developing our retail client advisory board, coordinating our retailer data summit and etcetera.

OMNI-CHANNEL RETAIL EXPERTISE: An authoritative comprehension of the goals, strategies, and challenges of retailers & retail brands across all marketing channels (digital and traditional), and the economics & key vendors in each.

STRATEGY & ANALYTICS: Proven ability discern signal from noise, to coalesce separate signals into a cohesive story, identify elusive fundamental challenges, and develop detailed yet uncomplicated roadmaps for success.

PRODUCT MANAGEMENT SUCCESS: Ability to quantify market demand, ideate scaleable product offerings, work with product teams to develop, and build GTM launch plans resulting in significant lines of revenue.
