Providence is calling a Manager to the Patient Safety, Compliance and Risk team at to Providence Medical Group!
This opportunity offers an incredible chance to impact the patient experience at Providence clinics! We're seeking a strong, confident leader with a nursing background who can capably lead people and projects.
This full-time, fully benefitted position is based at the Providence Office Park in the beautiful and convenient Hollywood district in NE Portland.
In this position, you will:
Contribute to the fulfillment of the Providence Medical Group (PMG) mission and values by designing, implementing, maintaining and evaluating comprehensive and organization-wide patient safety, compliance and risk management programs.
Implement and ongoing evaluation of a comprehensive patient safety and infection prevention program for PMG, including improvement strategies.
Assess, mitigate, and manage medical risk.
Implement and ongoing evaluation of a comprehensive Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) privacy compliance program for PMG.
Develop curriculum for initial and ongoing training in HIPAA compliance, patient and employee safety, and ethical disclosure practices for physicians and staff.
Develop, implement, and administer the policies related to litigation, BME or Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) complaints, government agency grievances and patient termination.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Current Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) license
Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing
5 to 10 years of healthcare administration/management
2 years recent experience in medical/legal issues in a healthcare environment
Conversant with legal regulations related to the healthcare industry
Practicing knowledge of HIPAA regulations and statutes of grievance management
Demonstrated experience and success in organizational processes involving employee and patient safety, including change management processes
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Masters degree in nursing or related field
Current certification/recognition by a national professional organization such as Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), Utilization Review Accreditation Commission (URAC), Certified Case Manager (CCM)
