JOB BRIEF (PURPOSE)
Lead, manage and provide direction to a team of highly trained and experienced Treasury Management sales officers and sales support staff across a diverse geography in support of Key Community Bank clients within assigned region. Lead team to acquire new relationship clients and deepen existing relationships by providing domestic and international cash management solutions to help clients manage their businesses. Work directly with other business leaders to understand the drivers of the payments business, develop sales strategies and provide updates.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
In conjunction with the Key Community Bank Line of Business (LOB) Leaders, develop and execute upon a regional market plan with client driven strategies. The market plan will align with Enterprise Commercial Payments’ business strategy and have a focus on developing and deepening client relationships with financial impact. .
Develop peer relationships with LOB leaders, providing insights into the ECP payments business, educating them on the financial nuances of the business and providing feedback related to interactions between the teams.
Attract, develop and retain a high performing, inclusive workforce. Cultivate talent through development planning, coaching, employee retention, and recruiting new talent when necessary. Maintain a pipeline of talent.
Nurture leadership among team members and build succession. Provide direct, candid and regular feedback to individuals promoting strong performance and proactively managing weak performance out of the organization.
Provide real time coaching on expected job competencies, expected leadership qualities, uncovering clients’ needs, providing comprehensive solutions, and employee advancement.
Actively conduct in-person and/or joint client calls with sales team members. Assist in providing direction and strategy in closing high revenue deals.
Actively manage all disciplines within the sales management process including pipeline management, calling activity, goal obtainment, relationship reviews and relationship referrals.
Identify and provide direction for sales teams to cross-sell opportunities that will deepen client relationships, solve internal obstacles or service issues, and deliver seamless execution. At all times displaying a strong judiciousness of accountability for actions displayed and the results of the sales team including goal obtainment, client on boarding, prospecting, profitability and risk tolerance.
Provide training, coaching and ensure team members serve as a solution oriented consultant to their clients by developing a clear and holistic understanding of the client’s/prospect’s business and then crafting value-added solutions, ideas and advice and are viewed by the client and the Community Bank RM as a business partner.
Provide coaching and expertise on pricing, client proposals and crafting appropriate solutions to team members
Actively manage and identify areas of needed change to drive business results through effective and seamless client delivery and ongoing employee development.
Collaborate with LOB Leaders in the Community Bank, Product Development Team, operations and other partners to cast a shadow of proactive, candid, meaningful communication and partnership among the teams to leverage Key for the client or prospect.
Appropriately manage, in correlation with establish standards, the level of Risk associated with existing clients and prospects. Actively work with LOB Leaders to raise awareness among RM’s (Relationship Manager) and TM Sales Officers of the Bank’s overall risk strategy and among industries and acceptable levels of risk for new and existing clients.
Differentiate Key to clients by providing up-to-date ideas and comprehensive solutions based on intimate knowledge of the industry and marketplace; leverage knowledge to contribute Key’s product strategies.
Consistently raise awareness of Key and TM in all markets within assigned territory by actively participating in highly effective industry trade groups.
10 years of demonstrated experience on and/or leading domestic or international cash management or line of business relationship manager sales teams
Broad knowledge and know-how of deposit products, liquidity, cash management products
Knowledge and experience of markets covered
Demonstrated ability to lead teams across geographies and in matrixed environments to leverage the skills and capabilities of all team members to both deliver comprehensive solutions to our clients and achieve team’s financial goals
Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) or Certified Cash Manager designation (CCM)
Experience in both cash management and line of business relationship management
