Position: Vehicle Records Assistant – Drive Away Hunger

Department: Drive Away Hunger

Reports to: Drive Away Hunger Administrative Manager

Employment Status: Full Time, Regular, Non-Exempt

Effective Date: July 2017

Typical Hours Required: Monday – Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM

General Description of Work

This position serves the office environment at Drive Away Hunger by administratively supporting and helping to manage the donation and sales processes.

Essential Functions


  • Support donation process by checking the vehicle title, giving a stock number, filling out any appropriate forms needed.

  • Send thank-you notes to donors.

  • Enter the necessary information in Access. Make subsequent entries in Access, for all necessary information.

  • Interface with tow companies and reconciling donation files, as vehicles are delivered.

  • Resolve all problem files or incomplete donation records

Administrative Support

  • Oversee petty cash, check receipts.

  • File paperwork.

  • Basic cashiering and title transfer work, with customers.

  • Provide basic supervision to PRM program workers and service residents.

  • Ability to process all DMV fees and deliver documents to DMV, lenders etc.

  • Process daily bank deposits.

  • May be called upon to perform basic sales functions, with potential car buyers.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • College degree in related field or experience equivalent

  • Experience as a Title Clerk a plus

  • Experience in Microsoft Windows software

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Self-starter

  • Prompt and thorough in job performance

  • Creative and logical problem solving

  • Demonstrated ability to be a team player
