Wabash National's Tank Trailer Operations, located in Portland, OR is currently accepting applications for Welder/Fabricator, entry level to experienced. We offer on-the-job training and development in aluminum MIG welding and fabrication. Qualifications/Skill Requirements: Ability to aluminum Mig and Tig weld at a level that meets the Beall quality standard. Ability to pass the DOT basic weld test. Read and understand blueprints and specs. Wear a respirator and work in a confined space. May be required to fit through 16 inch manholes. Install heads using welder, grinder, head hammer, wrench, and drills. Butt shell sections, using tools such as mig & tig welder, band saw, die grinder, tape measure, and other machines and tools as needed. Install dome rails, using tools such as mig & tig welder, band saw, die grinder, tape measure, and other machines and tools as needed. Install drain pipes between division heads, using tools such as mig & tig welder, band saw, die grinder, tape measure, and other machines and tools as needed. Install ladders using welder, power drill, belt sander, hose saw, impact driver, skill saw, tri-square, level and other tools as needed. Install front and rear frames, using tools such as mig & tig welder, band saw, die grinder, tape measure, and other machines and tools as needed. Install ladder/light brackets, using tools such as mig & tig welder, band saw, die grinder, tape measure, and other machines and tools as needed. Install dome rails, using tools such as mig & tig welder, band saw, die grinder, tape measure, and other machines and tools as needed. Install manholes, vent subs, and testing, using tools such as mig & tig welder, band saw, die grinder, tape measure, clamps and other tools as needed.
