  • Gains supervised practical experience by actively participating in one or more projects for Samaritan Health Services while fulfilling the requirements of assigned internship program.

  • DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

  • Samaritan Health Services Neuropsychology provides cognitive evaluations to patients using various diagnostic tests to detect new onset neurological disorders, evaluate course of progression or recovery of a neurological disorder, or aid in developing rehabilitation strategies for patients with neurological disorders.

  • EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Current enrollment in an approved Master's level Psychology program required.

Flat rate $11.54/hr

  • Psychology - Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation.

  • Adaptability/Flexibility - Ability to respond quickly and appropriately to urgent medical situations that may arise with high risk or diverse patient populations. Ability to adjust actions in relation to others and adapt treatment to offer best possible care to patients.

  • Confidentiality - Knowledge of State and Federal (HIPAA) laws pertaining to confidentiality of protected health information. Ability to comply with laws and maintain confidentiality of patient information.

  • Time Management - Ability to organize, plan and prioritize work to complete within required time frames and to follow-up on pending issues. Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and thrive in dynamic fast-paced environments and under pressure.
