Nike Credit Analyst in Beaverton, Oregon

WHAT YOU BRING TO NIKE

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in financial analysis with demonstrated ability to synthesize quantitative and qualitative data into a tangible recommendation

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Finance or Business

  • Background in finance, and/or accounting with working knowledge of GAAP required – experience in credit or lending is a plus

  • Naturally inquisitive with the ability to deliver creative solutions

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills and effective meeting facilitator

  • Excellent ability to develop and maintain positive business partnerships and to affect change

  • Constant team player attitude and ability to work with a diverse group of team members

  • Experience working for a Fortune 500/multinational consumer products company is a plus

  • Knowledge of SAP is a plus

As a Credit Analyst, you participate in the credit risk management of Nike’s and Converse’s (NIKE) portfolio of North America wholesale partners. You will leverage your financial analysis acumen to assess the financial health of our wholesale customers. Your assessments will identify key areas of risk to NIKE’s revenue and trade AR, and provide recommended courses of action that simultaneously balance risk mitigation with maximizing shareholder return.

A high level of communication, financial analysis, leadership, strategic thinking, problem-solving, and influencing skills will be utilized to analyze and evaluate complex financial information in a highly competitive, results oriented business. While possessing a deep sense of urgency, you will use your skills to take actions and deliver recommendations that directly impact NIKE’s bottom line. In addition, effective verbal and written communication skills are utilized to build partnerships with key business stakeholders. A high level of professionalism is critical to network, influence and utilize internal and external resources.

Key Components to the Job Include:

  • Taking ownership in assessing and handling the credit risk for NIKE’s portfolio of wholesale partners spanning the US and Canada which includes:

  • Determining financial strength of customers

  • Assessing risk of repayment on trade AR

  • Creating strategies to minimize risk of loss

  • Obtaining and analyzing necessary customer financial and industry information

  • Synthesizing key quantitative and qualitative metrics into a tangible recommendations and actions

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key wholesale accounts as well as internal stakeholders

  • Leveraging financial analysis as well as internal resources and knowledge of wholesale partners to make critical decisions regarding the release of orders

  • Taking lead role in collaborating with diverse group of individuals, teams, and stakeholders across NIKE

  • Perform other ad-hoc reports/projects as needed
