Nike Data & Analytics Analyst - Categories, Design, Product Creation & Merchandising Analytics in Beaverton, Oregon


o Demonstrated history as a committed and collaborative team player

o Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics or a related field

o 3-5 years of experience working with data, reporting, planning, or analytics

o Strong SQL skills and ability to accurately extract data from Snowflake

o Strong technical and analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to learn new analysis tools. Expertise in data acquisition and cleansing techniques including familiarity with ETL processes and relational database structures.

o Ability to translate complex data in to understandable, actionable insights

o Self-starter with an ability to support multiple workstreams across different functions while managing competing priorities

Nice to Have-

o Experience in developing an understanding of customers, competitors and retail and digital trends; knowledge of Sports Apparel & Footwear market preferred

o Familiarity with Nike’s product game plan; direct functional experience in Sales, Merchandising, or Product Development

o Experience analyzing digital data sets

As an Analyst for CDPMA you will unlock new and transformational insights for our Product, Design, Development and Merchandising teams as they deliver innovative products to our consumers. You’ll be at the ground level in helping to prove out the value of analytical thinking and will help strengthen Nike’s foundation of using product, commercial and consumer data to make better decisions. You will translate optimization results, social media data, membership and digital data into actionable insights.

You must be a self-starter, flexible thinker, proactive, and a good communicator who is comfortable with ambiguity. You must love solving logical puzzles, be comfortable with big data sets, and have a proven ability to connect the dots between different workstreams. Key Job Responsibilities

o Identify key use-cases where big data & analytics can be used to help product creation teams solve key consumer needs, in more efficient ways

o Provide insights that support strategic initiatives and the key decision points in the product creation process.

o Collaborate with product owners, end-users and development teams to create and quickly iterate analytic insights that help drive more data-driven decisions throughout the product creation lifecycle

o Build confidence in the numbers by becoming an expert in the underlying data and translating that knowledge in consumable ways
