Description

The Director of Nike Direct Marketplace Operations is a key role that provides Global leadership on Nike’s omni-channel operations and ensures that Nike’s supply chain delivers a frictionless and distinctive consumer experience.

In this role, you will lead global thinking in the design development and deployment of Nike’s direct to consumer supply chain capabilities across Nike’s Digital and Stores business. You will lead Nike’s omni-channel fulfillment network strategic frameworks in partnership with the geography teams, ensuring a consistent offense globally that meets the evolving needs and expectations of Nike’s consumer and marketplace. You will provide operational leadership in support on new and evolving Nike Stores concepts. You will partner with cross functional teams – Stores, Planning, Logistics – to ensure flow of inventory to and from the stores is handled in a streamlined and optimal manner. You will partner closely with the Technology and Digital Product teams to deliver a frictionless post-purchase digital experience to Nike’s consumer, aligning roadmaps to ensure timely execution.

With these responsibilities in mind, an ideal candidate has a strong background in retail and digital commerce supply chain operations, shows passion for consumer, vision for innovation, and an appetite for aggressive growth. This role is a stepping stone to more senior operations and logistics roles within the Nike business.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead development of operational toolkits to support Nike’s Digital and Stores strategies.

  • Omni-channel fulfillment network framework to deliver double digit business growth reliably, efficiently, fast and flexibly.

  • Represent consumer and store athlete fulfillment experience and drive step change in satisfaction and net promoter score (NPS) improvement

  • Partner across functions to deliver a streamlined and optimized flow of inventory to and from Nike stores/ nodes

  • Be the voice of operations and logistics, the voice of Nike Direct and the voice of geographies in relevant forums

  • Lead, coach, drive and encourage the direct to consumer marketplace operations team, growing our talent into tomorrow’s senior leaders, and driving organization excellence

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or related discipline

  • 8+ years of experience in Retail Supply Chain, Retail Logistics, Project Management, Process Improvement or related field

  • 2 additional years of experience required in lieu of a degree

  • Demonstrated experience with omni-channel fulfillment network strategy and inventory and returns flow

  • Experience in highly cross-functional global business environment with the ability to effectively communicate and influence at various levels within a matrixed structure, including strong storytelling skills

  • Strategy development and planning experience

  • Proven track record of high-quality delivery results on time and within budget

  • Change agent/change management experience

  • General SAP system knowledge, adept with systems and technology

  • Demonstrated financial acumen
