ACS Professional Staffing is seeking a Director of Manufacturing to lead our client's manufacturing organization to produce and deliver high-quality product that meets customer promised delivery dates and the company’s shipment goals. Additionally, being responsible for ensuring customers receive excellent service worldwide. All areas of Manufacturing report to the Director of Manufacturing including production control, manufacturing, material, manufacturing engineering, quality assurance, purchasing, shipping and service.This full-time opportunity is located inBeaverton, Oregon.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain +99% error-free and on-time shipments as a top priority.

  • Meet or beat budgeted shipment, COGS and inventory goals.

  • Plan and execute annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting.

  • In partnership with Engineering and Marketing, contribute to successful introductions of new product releases. Smooth production ramp up.

  • Develop the monthly Production Plan and present it to the Leadership Team

  • Lead the Quality, Continuous Improvement (including performance metrics), and Service processes.

  • Ensure collaboration and coordination between Manufacturing and other AP departments, sales partners and the International Service Centers.

  • Lead your organization to:

  • Maintain and update manufacturing data in the M2M ERP system and reports in a timely manner.

  • Develop and manage work time standards for each manufacturing operation allowing for productivity measurements to be monitored as needed.

  • Maintain the Bill of Material structures for manufacturability.

  • Manage the Engineering Change Order (ECO) process within Manufacturing.

  • Provide accounting with costing and inventory reporting information

  • Participate on the Calibration Core Team

  • Improve manufacturing throughput using lean manufacturing principles

Requirements:

  • Strong leadership, solid judgment and significant initiative

  • Experience with leading Lean Manufacturing and six-sigma projects

  • 3 to 5 years of Manufacturing and ERP experience, M2M ERP experience a plus

  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills both written and verbal

  • A BS in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent experience leading a manufacturing organization.
