Nike Materials Automation Excellence Manager in Beaverton, Oregon


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Technology, Operations Research or related field of study. MBA preferred

  • 3-plus years of experience in Manufacturing, Analytics, Business, Engineering or Technology

  • Knowledge of industry digital tools landscape and network optimization tools required

  • Experience in data quality root cause analysis, resolution and continuous improvement of digital tools and processes required

  • Advanced excel, visualization software (Tableau), programming (Alteryx, python), program management and story-lining (Powerpoint) skills required.

  • Demonstrated ability to use data to influence decision making

  • Strong written, verbal, and visual communicator with a demonstrated ability to network, influence and inspire

We have built a new, unified Materials Sourcing and Manufacturing (MSM) organization which will transform our material capabilities, teams, and processes and accelerate our vision to serve every athlete*! We are in need of a new leader who will lead the materials operations optimization offense.

In this role, you will not only develop tools to drive automation and optimization of operations across product engines but also elevate tools and data quality through drive continuous improvement. This teammate has high emotional intelligence, leads with curiosity and obsesses about driving operational efficiencies and excellence!


As the Materials Automation Excellence Manager, you will be responsible for elevating materials data quality across the various tools across the materials sourcing and manufacturing organization. You will also support the digital strategy and roadmap for materials tools and analytics. As new capabilities such as elevated material planning, sourcing, costing and integrity are stood up across the materials supply chain, you will ensure that the ground work is laid for world class tools and analytics and nurture them to maturity. You must use strong analytical and storytelling skills to pull out key insights and weave them into strategies that shape and complement key transformational initiatives and your peer’s work across MSM.

Collaboration and influence across a broad network of partners will be key to success. Using prior manufacturing, logistics, finance and systems integration experience in a large, multi-node operating environment will be required. The ability to transform complex concepts into easy to understand action plans for senior management will be a significant aspect of the role.


You will work closely with the functional and product engine leaders in Materials Sourcing & Manufacturing. You will also have significant exposure to our business partners across NIKE’s Asia manufacturing base as well as world headquarters functions including Global Sourcing and Manufacturing, Technology and Digital Product Creation.
