Nike Performance Insights Manager in Beaverton, Oregon

WHAT YOU BRING

Required:

  • Bachelor Degree in Business, Supply Chain, International Business, Economics, or other related field

  • 5+ years of experience analyzing and manipulating data as it pertains to supply and operations within a retail environment.

  • Proven ability to lead and/or work on cross-functional teams and provide project management support

  • Experience in the valuation and definition of new measures, and the translation of business goals into quantitative metrics

  • Problem structuring and strategic problem-solving skills

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Good understanding of key topics in data science and applied analytics as well as emerging trends

Preferred:

  • Experience with a statistical modeling (such as R, MATLAB, SPSS, SAS, Stata, etc.)

  • Experience with agile design and development

  • Experience with Git and Amazon Web Services preferred

  • Familiarity with Tableau, and data analysis/visualization packages in R or Python is a plus

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a Performance Insights Manger for North America Express Lane! This person will be a key contributor to the broader effort of bringing responsive capabilities to the marketplace and aligning those capabilities across the end to end organization. You will be instrumental in the building and promotion of multiple data products that provide impactful insights and support critical business decisions.

This role is ideal for a retail data evangelist who is self-motivated and passionately curious, especially about how data can be used to inform Nike’s view on consumer demand and drive better decision making. You enjoy finding relationships between disparate data. You are highly proficient in SQL but most importantly, you know how to rise above the numbers and explain the essential insights to business users. You should be able to paint a picture about data and instinctively minimize complexity to focus on results. While you rely on data to prove your point, you love to think in an unexpected way and solve problems creatively. You thrive in an entrepreneurial environment, and you are excited by the challenge of building something from the ground up. You ask questions, are continually learning, and are finding opportunities to share knowledge with others.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

  • Key partner in both tactical business decisions to drive Revenue, Margin and Inventory Productivity for Nike and our Partners.

  • Work closely with our Marketplace partners to ensure there is a mutual understanding of wins, misses, risk and opportunity. Facts will lead the way.

  • Work with key partners to understand requirements and improve opportunities to drive knowledge into action

  • Collaboratively review plans, methodology and implementation with key stakeholders to ensure and uphold best practices and data quality

  • Build and execute innovative and effective data and analytics solutions to unique or complex Nike challenges and opportunities in support of targeted business priorities and objectives

  • Troubleshoot data and analytics issues and perform root cause analysis to proactively resolve issues

  • Work independently and take initiative to identify, explore and solve problems

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

This role will work across the Express Lane Leadership team, the Marketplace teams, functional leadership teams and business strategy. It will work side by side with our cross functional business leaders as well as data scientists and engineers and business intelligence and data product teams.
