This position will work with the metrology engineers dealing with a variety tasks needed at the time. The individual calibrates precision optical and electrical equipment, works on customer inquiries as they relate to metrology, works in and around all aspects of the test and metrology processes within Tektronix Operations. Support of data analysis and trend analysis to make decisions on the most critical issues as they arise. Working with a team as one team to keep up with the required deliverables for each NPI program.

Responsibilities:

  • Metrology Owned Calibrations

  • Mag/Phase System Electronical Sampling Module Calibrations

  • Femto-Second Pulse Laser Source Calibrations.

  • VNA Electronic & Mechanical Calibration Kit Calibrations.

  • There are others…

  • Primary Technical Resource Responder for Equipment Pool.

  • Metrology Owned Facility Support

  • Maintain 10MHz frequency standard distribution system on Beaverton campus

  • Support Temp/Humidity standard issues

  • Support SPC-Lite

  • Test data analysis

The successful candidate will possess the following combination of education and experience:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associates degree in scientific discipline

  • Able to read and understand supplier electrical/material specifications or datasheets

  • Able to read mechanical drawings

  • General familiarity with electrical test equipment and its uses

  • Able to use hand-operated tools and powered tools

  • MS Office applications proficiency

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Able to work in a team environment
