Nike Senior Software Engineer II in Beaverton, Oregon


  • A strong technical software engineering background

  • Experience with Golang, TypeScript & JavaScript

  • MS/BS in Computer Science, or related technical subject area

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering and or API development

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Data Capture team. Our mission is simple: make recording and ingesting analytics events Quick, Simple, and Correct.


In this role, you will work with other software engineers, product owners, business analysts, architects, data consumers and stakeholders. Our purview includes managing event schemas, building analytics SDKs to internal teams, creating educational materials for partners, so they can make the most of their data, collaborating with data scientists to improve data quality, and – though certainly not least – reliably ingesting billions of events for hundreds of millions of customers.


You'll get to work alongside truly hardworking teams and help them enhance their performance by promoting collaboration and innovation. We have organized our team for speed and autonomy but backed by world class resources. You will collaborate with engineering, product management and business partner teams on daily basis.


  • Designing, building, deploying, and supporting back-end microservices

  • Improving the develop/test/deploy workflow for the team

  • Helping an internal partner improve or correct how they report analytics data from their application

  • Investigating anomalous events and data sources and developing regression tests and remediation strategies to continuously improve the baseline quality of the data we ingest
