Opportunity
The Director of Nursing is responsible for establishing and maintaining the standards of nursing care and practice within Mosaic Medical. This position will provide clinical leadership and direction to promote and advance excellence in professional nursing practice within an integrated patient-centered team care model, support population health and clinical quality initiatives, and meet Mosaic’s strategic plan.
Responsibilities
Develop nursing standards of care and productivity expectations to promote optimum patient experience, clinical outcomes and optimization of team based care.
In collaboration with site leadership, support nursing integration with other patient care services in the primary care clinics.
Ensure care of patients through health promotion, maintenance, restoration and prevention of infection, accident and injury.
Oversee nursing professional development and clinical education programs, serving as a mentor and coach for nursing staff.
Support the development and implementation of a budget and prepare reports for higher levels of management.
Skills & Knowledge
Excellent leadership skills, a strong ability to work with a team, a keen interest in innovation, and an in-depth knowledge of nursing scope of practice within primary care and/or ambulatory care. Superior nursing process skills. Basic typing and computer skills and comfort with Microsoft Windows® operating system. EHR experience, EPIC experience a plus. Knowledge of health insurance plans, standard office policies and procedures as well as regulatory requirements including CLIA and OSHA standards.
