Job Title: Radiology Scheduler Department: Scheduling Location: Bend, Oregon Hours: Monday ' Friday, 9:00 am ' 6:00 p.m. Travel Required: None Position Type: Full Time, non-exempt Resume Required: No, but appreciated Date Posted: 07/02/2020 Posting Expires: Open until filled Job Summary: The Radiology Scheduler works in a fast paced, busy environment scheduling outpatient diagnostic exams (non-walk in XR, Ultrasound, Mammography, MRI and CT) using a Radiology Information System (RIS). Exams will be scheduled according to resources, schedules and protocols provided by CORA's clinical Supervisors/Managers. The Radiology Scheduler is responsible for collecting all necessary information required for pre-authorization, order resulting, billing and any pre-clinical questions tied to a specific exam. The Radiology Scheduler communicates all exam preparation and procedure information to patients and/or referring physician offices to ensure patients arrive on time and prepared for their exams. This position requires a high level of attention to detail and accuracy, as the consequences of even a minor mistake can be significant for patients and providers. This position will promote teamwork and maintain high levels of customer service and professionalism in all communications. In addition, this position requires the ability to handle multiple tasks, get along with others and work independently. 1.Ability to organize and coordinate. 2.Strong oral and written communication abilities. 3.Ability to communicate effectively with all ages and comprehension levels over the telephone. 4.Solid analytical and technical skills. 5.Aptitude to learn new information quickly and accurately. Telework Requirements 1.This is a remote-work position (telework); you must be able to work from home or designated off-site location 2.Dedicated space/office must be free from distractions and background noise (personal calls, visitors, pets, TV, children, etc.) 3.Must provide your own high speed internet that meets CORA's specifications 4.Must adhere to set schedule 5.Continuous/active communication with managers and co-workers 6.Additional requirements are included in CORA's Telework Policy.
