RESTAURANT MANAGER: It is the primary responsibility of a manager to strive to achieve the goals and objectives that the employer sets. Responsibility: Oversee all restaurant operations. Recruit, select and orient staff. Train, supervise and communicate expectations to staff using positive reinforcement techniques while promoting a "team" effort. Review job performance and enforce policies and procedures. Prepare a weekly work schedule. Monitor food costs by regularly reviewing invoices and recommending menu adjustments as necessary. Monitor staff to ensure food portions are consistent, liquor is being measured properly, customers are charged accurately, and waste avoided. Greet and seat customers, cash-out guest checks, interact with customers and staff to ensure customer satisfaction; provide customer service as needed including taking food and drink orders, responding to customer requests, bussing tables and otherwise promoting a smooth flow of service. Handle customer complaints in a friendly, courteous manner. Apologize for the alleged problem and make every effort to seek customer satisfaction. Maintain a safe, secure and healthy environment by following and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures; complying with all legal regulations including OLCC regulations; securing daily revenues, developing and implementing disaster plans; maintaining a security system; and, maintaining the parking lot and all walkways. (keeping them free of debris). Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports. Ensure that bank deposits are made daily. Work Site: Brookings, Oregon
