REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. One to two years of previous CNC experience and/or training Available to work an eight-hour shift. JOB DUTIES: Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Perform basic math computations such as add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Regularly lift and /or move up to 95 pounds. Study blueprints, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements. Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines. Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media. Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjust machine controls or control as required. Verify conformance of finished work piece to specifications. Operate micrometers, dial and digital calipers, veneer and thread gauges, go/no-go pins and other measuring tools and equipment. Visually inspect surfaces for flaws and smoothness and makes adjustments accordingly. Attend Quality Manual Standards Training and apply Quality Standards accordingly. Observe safety and security procedures; Report potentially unsafe conditions; Use equipment and materials properly. Empty chip bins. Sweep and clean work area and equipment.
