OSU-Cascades is seeking a Finance/Operations Executive Assistant. This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE, 12-month, fixed-term professional faculty position. Reappointment is at the discretion of the Associate Vice President, Finance & Strategic Planning.

The Finance and Operations Executive Assistant provides executive-level administrative and project management support, including calendar management, internal and external communications, and strategic planning project management for the OSU-Cascades finance and operations department, assisting the Associate Vice President for Finance & Strategic Planning in advancing the goals of the division within the University’s culture of shared governance. The executive assistant provides oversight and management for a diverse range of confidential, high-level activities within the associate vice president’s office. Using exceptional interpersonal skills, the person in this position effectively collaborates with constituents across the OSU community, including internal and external stakeholders. The executive assistant creates communication strategies that support the effective integration, diversity and engagement of faculty and staff across OSU-Cascades.

The Finance & Operations Executive Assistant serves as executive’s liaison with faculty, staff, students and general public, manages executive’s schedule, develops correspondence, reports, minutes, researches and collects data related to various issues, and manages projects.

OSU-Cascades, located in Bend, Oregon, is a branch campus of Oregon State University. Established in 2001, the university currently enrolls more than 1,100 students in bachelor’s and master’s degree programs. The campus expanded to a four-year university in 2015, and opened its new campus in 2016. The branch campus has ambitious enrollment goals to reach 3,000 to 5,000 students by 2025 and is engaged in building a culturally diverse and community-centric educational environment.

Minimum Qualifications (Staff) / Guidelines (Faculty):

Typically requires Bachelor’s Degree in related field. Substantial executive administrative support experience, with progressively increasing responsibility, at an institution of higher learning or other similarly complex institution.

Requirements :

A Bachelor’s degree.

Substantial executive administrative support experience and/or project management experience.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and resolve problems.

Strong attention to detail.

Strong written and oral communication skills.

Excellent computer skills in MS Office applications.

Demonstrated experience communicating & working with individuals from various cultures and backgrounds in order to promote and enhance diversity.

This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a Criminal History Check and be determined to be position qualified as per OAR 576-055-0000 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in Youth Programs may have additional Criminal History Checks every 24 months.

Type:

Traditional Monday-Friday, 8-5 schedule.

Additional Salary Information: Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
