Overlay sales personnel providing specialist product expertise to the sales force.

Partners with Account, Technology, and Application sales representatives to qualify and close new business on Oracle solutions. Provides specific industry or product expertise to facilitate the closing of deals within sales representatives territory. Interacts with sales team to architect the solution, and develop and execute solution strategies for market. Manages solution opportunities to obtain appropriate and necessary resources for all qualified opportunities. Leads teams in the sales process for establishing market visibility and deal visibility. Presents/demonstrates solution to high level clients and industry conference attendees. May provide training to field sales on industry/solutions. Builds and maintains a network and up to date specific industry or product knowledge.

Subject matter expertise in industry/product space. Knowledge of key industry leaders and management. Knowledge of Oracle competition. Presentation and product demonstration experience. Previous consultative selling experience preferred. Excellent communication, negotiating, and closing skills with prospects and customers. Travel may be needed. BA/BS degree in related field.

The Oracle Cloud Applications organization has an immediate opening for a Healthcare Luminary. This new and senior role is positioned to take the Oracle Cloud message into the Healthcare marketplace directly to the C-suite like never before.

As the Healthcare Industry Luminary, you will have worked previously in a healthcare provider organization and accumulated robust experience and knowledge on key industry issues, including trends, regulations, and competitive landscape. You will understand industry regulation and government issues, particularly as it relates to organizational requirements to leverage cloud capabilities including data, privacy and compliance requirements. You will also have developed an understanding of the business value chains in providers, and core business processes.

Additionally, you will have at least a capability-level knowledge of the information systems and technology capabilities typically used to drive the core business processes in the healthcare industry, and have gained experience in a business transformation program that involved in whole or in part, a technology transformation to the cloud.

What are the Luminary s responsibilities?

This person will be shaping Oracle s voice to healthcare organizations and Executive audiences. You will engage regularly through sales opportunities to ensure that our technical and selling teams capture and communicate the full value of Oracle s products and effectively shape that value in terms that leaders in the Healthcare industry recognize and understand. You will be seen as credible by customers and seen internally as a thought leader who can bring industry-relevant and thought-provoking messaging to customers in order to position business-relevant outcomes that will be powered by Oracle s industry-leading cloud applications portfolio, including customer (patient) engagement and experience, human capital management, ERP and financials, supply chain management, enterprise planning, etc.

In addition to building a close relationship with Field Sellers, it will be the responsibility of this person to partner and participate with key internal Oracle stakeholder groups, such as Product Marketing, Product Development, Solution Engineering, and Oracle Consulting to shape our company messages, products, and delivery with a Healthcare POV that s differentiated in the marketplace.

This role should expect travel commensurate with 50%-75% customer-facing time.

Healthcare Luminary Role Requirements

Executive presence and presentation skills a must

A standard bearer for Oracle s Cloud applications; Evangelist

Strong understanding of healthcare issues, information systems, management issues, and current trends.

Experienced as a facilitator, diplomat, and negotiator/mediator; expresses action-oriented and creative approaches to information systems issues and problems.

5-plus years of applicable experience from a Healthcare Provider.

A good Luminary candidate may come from a healthcare organization, vendor or consulting firm.

Ability to listen effectively, respond to sensitive inquiries or complaints, cope with an ambiguous or changing environment and have an unfailing sense of humor

Strong planning, organization, critical thinking, decision-making and communication (verbal and written) skills.

High degree of confidentiality, maturity, tactfulness and business ethics.
