The Corvallis Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) in Corvallis, Oregon
The Registered Nurse performs nursing functions according to the nursing process and as defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing.:
1.Will participate and maintain a culture within The Corvallis Clinic that is consistent with the content outlined in the Service and Behavioral Standards Handbook. To this end, employee will be expected to read, have familiarity, and embrace the principles contained within. 2.Provide nursing care according to the sequential steps of the nursing process: assessment, planning, intervention, implementation and evaluation. 3.Direct patient flow and prepare patients for exams. 4.Facilitate collection of all necessary information required for patient visits. Accurately record pertinent information in the EHR and ensure necessary patient care documentation is processed and done so in a timely manner. 5.Accurately triage patient phone calls and ensure that callbacks and prescription refills are completed in a timely fashion consistent with provider guidelines and scope of practice, as well as, clinic guidelines. Document pertinent information accurately. 6.Assist providers with procedures as directed and maintain asepsis. Perform invasive procedures for which the RN has the training and skills. 7.Proactively monitor physician schedules for accuracy. 8.Improve the quality of care through continuing education and self-evaluation of the effectiveness of care. This includes attendance/participation in most in-services/department meetings and remaining current on clinic/department policies and procedures. 9.Actively participate in the cleaning of shared work areas. Keeping exam rooms clean, neat and stocked. 10.Participate in the orientation and training of new employees.
Education/Licensure/Experience: Graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing Current unencumbered State of Oregon license as a Registered Nurse One (1) or more years experience in an acute care hospital and/or in an individual provider’s office or clinic setting Knowledge and Skills:
- Evidence of working knowledge of the nursing process
- Knowledge of basic clinical skills to provide patient care
- Ability to work well with providers, clinical staff and patients
- Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously in a busy, fast-paced environment while maintaining quality of work
