The University of Oregon Intercollegiate Athletic Department's primary purpose is to provide a unique opportunity for student-athletes to be developed, tested, and encouraged to reach their maximum potential in every aspect of their lives. The primary responsibility of this position is to create, implement, and maintain branding elements needed for athletic marketing and game day promotions. The Director of Brand Enhancement will ensure there is a consistent tone and look across multiple media platforms. This position will partner with other athletic department creative and marketing staff to ensure that social media platforms and GoDucks.com are in line with the department’s overall strategic communications and marketing objectives. The Director of Brand Enhancement will supervise student interns assigned to marketing and promotions projects and is responsible for promoting the philosophy and objectives of the intercollegiate athletics program, including adherence to all department policies and procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the university, Pac-12 conference and the NCAA.
• Bachelor's degree in graphic design, media communication or similar from accredited university.
• Two years of graphic-design or multi-media production experience.
• Advanced knowledge of and experience with Adobe Creative Suite, and social media platforms.
• Ability to perform detail-oriented work accurately and to communicate effectively with a diverse population.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• High motivation with a capacity for hard work within the context of an intensely goal-oriented environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills and the ability to multi-task and respond to immediate needs while managing day-to-day activities.
• Two years of graphic-design or multi-media production experience within Division I collegiate athletics and/or professional sports.
• Candidates with experience serving the needs of diverse populations are strongly desired.
