WorkSource Oregon Manufacturing Engineer in Eugene, Oregon

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: ' Create standard work and document via controlled work instructions ' Design and lead cross-functional Kaizen events ' Assist Quality Assurance with Root Cause Analysis and long-term corrective actions related to Quality Action Requests. ' Develop and maintain a robust, cell-specific, 6S program. ' Create statistical models for monitoring and controlling manufacturing processes. ' Create and support inspection models for QA's incoming inspection process. ' Work with others in the Mfg Eng group to create jigs/fixtures/assembly aids to reduce variation and cycle times. ' Liaison with Design Engineering to improve our design-for-manufacturability process, as well as reduce their shop-floor time requirements. ' Maintain and use all appropriate PPE ' Actively participate in accident prevention and adhere to all safety requirements ' As required, assists in other projects. MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS: ' Must have a bachelor's degree in Industrial and/or Manufacturing Engineering or an equivalent level of education and experience. ' Requires at least 2-5 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment. ' Must be able to work in a dynamic work environment in which needs are constantly changing with little or no notice. Need to be very flexible and agreeable.
