Kelly Services Plastics Molding Technician in Eugene, Oregon

Kelly Services is hiring 3 full-time workers for a direct hire INJECTOR MOLDING TECHNICIAN opening in Eugene, OR. The hiring company is an internationally known company that specializes in plastic bottles for food and medicine. Open shifts are on either SWING or NIGHT shifts.

Position : Injector Molding Technician

Location : Eugene, OR

Rate of Pay : $22 -- $26 per hour (dependent upon shift and experience)

Shift: Sunday – Thursday

Schedule : 1 opening on 2nd shift (4pm-12:30am), 2 openings on 3rd shift (12am-8:30am)

Duration : Direct Hire (company offers benefits and PTO upon hire)

Job Description

The Mold Injector Technician is responsible for maximizing production from new and existing molds and associated work cells, while maintaining quality product according to quality plan.


  • Start-up and troubleshooting of injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment

  • Maintain steady uninterrupted supply of colorant and material to the machines

  • Production demands may fluctuate and require a flexible schedule including overtime as needed, every effort will be made to give adequate notice while scheduling associate’s work schedule

  • Must communicate with on-coming and off-going Mold Techs to give and receive specific instructions and quality information

  • Coordinate with Quality Control and Maintenance personnel concerning machine operations and any malfunctions

  • Train new mold setters at the direction of the Senior Process Technician.


  • Must have good mechanical aptitude and knowledge of injection molding machinery and processes

  • Be able to lift up to 40 pounds, bend and reach to perform necessary job functions

  • Minimum 3 years verifiable employment as a molding technician (plastics preferred). Experience installing, programming, and trouble-shooting automation a plus, Forklift operation.

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required. Some college preferred and/or training in Design of Experiments

  • ISO/SPC training a plus. Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and experience with OSHA Requirements useful.
