Scientist I, Production Particles, Eugene, Oregon
Monday - Friday, 8:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Position Overview: Work in a manufacturing environment and responsible for performing particle/polymer synthesis and modification while following quality and safety standards. Understand and follow written procedures, and technically capable of performing production processes.
Produce and analyze particle/polymer based products to meet customer requirements and timelines
Maintain accurate inventory of materials using advanced ERP controls
Analyze and interpret scientific data.
Utilize specialized technical knowledge or skills necessary
Maintain professional communication with representatives from other departments and teams as required
Actively participate in team activities conflict resolution, team building, scheduling
Work to achieve department goals and business objectives with respect to quality, on-time completion of work, and safety
Ensure adherence to quality standards, including good documentation practices
Education BS/BA Degree in Chemistry or related discipline
Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.
Experience Excellent communication skills written/verbal , demonstrated team leadership and management skills
Motivated, flexible, able to follow through, and able to focus in a fast pace environment Organized, detail oriented, and proactive
Experience in a technical manufacturing environment
Experienced with Microsoft Applications; Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Excellent time management, and ability to work independently
Strong organizational skills, evaluating and handling priorities effectively
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience with pipetting, UV-Vis spectroscopy, distillation, centrifugation
