We are seeking a Warehouse Leader to join our Platt team in Eugene, OR:
The Warehouse Leader position is responsible for directing work and performing other aspects to facilitate workflow. When the Distribution Center Supervisor and/or Distribution Center Associate Lead are not present, the Warehouse Leader position will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the department.
The individual must behave consistently with Platt’s Core Competencies; as well as ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Coordinate unloading and stocking of product in an efficient and accurate manner.
Proficiency in receiving aspects of the Warehouse Management Software (WMS) in use at Distribution Centers.
Scheduling of incoming shipments to ensure efficient resource utilization and achievement of customer service goals.
All data entry and record maintenance functions, including understanding and use of the AS400 and WMS computer systems as they relate to all receiving and inbound freight job tasks.
Preparing and filing claims for damaged and/or short/lost shipments.
Ability to create routine reports and correspondence.
Answer incoming telephones calls in a cheerful, courteous, and timely manner and take messages when necessary.
Ability to perform other receiving positions as required.
Ability to use motorized pallet trucks, forklifts, and materials handling equipment as needed.
Maintain a minimum standard for productivity and accuracy as determined by current company procedures.
Ensure that jobs are correctly implemented and that jobs are assigned effectively and completed properly.
Reliable and regular attendance required.
Other duties and job tasks may be assigned.

Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse including building lock-up when needed. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred but not required.
Data-entry experience preferred but not required.
Experience with Mincron and Highjump WMS software preferred.
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook and Excel) Software and the Web is required.
Ability to perform simple math such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Certificates, Licenses, Registration:
Training and certification on Narrow-aisle stand-up Lift Trucks and Narrow-aisle Order Picker that conforms to OSHA safety training requirements. Training will be provided by the company as needed.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to airborne particles due to dust and dirt. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The warehouse environment has no means of temperature control, therefore the temperature is dependent upon weather conditions.
