Intel Accounting Policy Manager in Hillsboro, Oregon
This candidate will be a manager in the Accounting Policy Group within the Corporate Reporting organization, supporting a variety of technical accounting topics, which may include revenue recognition, M&A accounting, compensation and benefits accounting, fair value measurements, settlements and contingencies, accounting for customer and supplier long term contracts, fixed asset and IP purchases, etc. To be considered for this position, candidates must have a foundational understanding of US GAAP accounting, a track record of problem solving, experience playing a leading role, and have demonstrated strong communication and influencing skills. Business partners generally include Corporate Accounting, Corporate Reporting, Tax, and Legal, we well as Operations Finance partners in ICAP Finance, BU Finance, Worldwide Revenue, and other areas across the business.
Public accounting experience is required and prior experience working on large multi-national transactions is considered an advantage. Responsibilities include:
Providing technical accounting transactional consultations, including writing and reviewing technical accounting whitepapers and maintaining the internal Corporate Reporting Dashboard for distribution to senior management
Monitoring and influencing emerging US GAAP, IFRS and SEC developments, including drafting comment letters and performing outreach with regulators, and supporting accounting standard impact assessments and implementation projects
Planning and conducting annual training programs for Finance, delivering routine technical accounting course offerings, and developing ad hoc accounting training presentations for BU partners and senior management
Maintaining Intel's accounting policies
Supporting broad projects across the Corporate Controllers Office and providing critical assists across the Corporate Reporting organization (i.e., External Reporting and SOX Program Office)

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Candidate should be CPA.
Science degree in Accounting
7+ years of experience in accounting/finance.
4 + years in public accounting.
