Accountemps currently has an opening for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk. As the Accounting Clerk, your efforts will become an important part to the success of International Construction Company. Located in Hillsboro, Oregon, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term temporary-to-full-time opening. In this influential department, there is a possibility for further career growth and advancement. The Accounts Payable Clerk will be expected to match and batch code, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks.

Your responsibilities in this role

• Complete full-cycle A/P

• Open, organize, and distribute department mail daily

• Sort, log, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents

• Assist the AP/Finance Department with administrative tasks

• Carry out additional projects as required

• Verify, log and mail checks, including expediting special handling

• Ensure compliance with company policies while carrying out daily processes and controls accurately and on time

• Provide internal and external audit assistance as required

• Handle the customer service needs of internal business partners

Requirements

• AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

• Prior experience in an A/P role preferred

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds

• Competent with spreadsheets and databases

• Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)

• Expertise in Microsoft Excel

• Excellent attention to detail
