Data Engineer within the analytics team focused on the design, build and implementation of large scale data architecture and ETL processes to be used in analyses and software applications for chip manufacturing. The analytics team is responsible for delivering pipelines, analytical and data science applications that provide ROI for our clients and predictive maintenance that increases machine availability within client manufacturing facilities. In this position it is imperative that you have the willingness and desire to wear multiple hats and be interested in software development and analytical work.
You will be designing, implementing and automating data pipelines from internal and external systems, transforming the data for the optimal needs of various systems.
Design large-scale distributed data processing systems, data lakes and data warehouses for computational and storage efficiency.
Setting strategic goals for data engineering road map and products.
Design and execute ETL jobs.
Own the design, development and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions.
Drive architectural plans and implementation for future data storage, ETL, reporting, and analytic solutions.
Provide code reviews, receive code reviews constructively, and take ownership of outcomes.
Work with team members and stakeholders to troubleshoot and optimize pipelines.
Set strategic and technical goals for the team to meet in conjunction with higher level objectives.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management of information systems, mathematics, or a related field is required.
A minimum of 2 years hands-on working in the area of data science, data analytics, data engineering. Completion of Master’s degree meets qualifications in lieu of experience.
Extensive experience in multidimensional data modeling, such as star schemas, snowflakes, deformalized models, handling “slow-changing” dimensions/attributes.
A minimum of 3 years’ experience of coding proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python, ruby, java, etc).
Experience in data architecture, databases (e.g., MySQL, Oracle, PostgresSQL), SQL.
Knowledge of software engineering practices & best practices for the software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build process, testing, and operations.
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S without sponsorship.
