Umpqua Bank Enterprise Data Intergration Development Manager in Hillsboro, Oregon
In this role, you will manage a team of software developers and business systems analysts responsible for the development of business process automation. You will provide technical leadership and direction on engineering best practices, and ensures proficiency and continuity of staff through training, development opportunities, and annual performance reviews. Additionally, you will partner with business and technology stakeholders to align on priorities and lead continuous process improvement activities for the development team.
Coach and develop a team of software engineers.
Drive engineering best practices across all current and new software development projects.
Manage resources, including frequent performance feedback and annual performance review.
Coordinate with business and technology stakeholders to help identify and prioritize needs and to ensure resource needs are met.
Facilitate communication within the team and with business and technology stakeholders.
Develop high-performing development team through recruitment, retention and training opportunities
Develop a culture of continuous improvement. Assist with removing roadblocks and empowering the team to deliver best work.
Demonstrate compliance with all bank regulations that apply to your position, and keep up to date on regulation changes.
Maintain working knowledge of our policies and procedures regarding the Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations that apply to your position.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experienced required.
5-8 years of relevant experience in software development.
3-5 years' experience in leadership/management role with responsibility of hiring and performance management.
Experience in all facets of the SDLC for software development projects.
Ability to collaborate with business and technology stakeholders across the organization to align on priorities.
Demonstrated experience with building and developing high-performance teams.
Knowledge of agile development methodologies (Scrum/Kanban/ScrumBan).
Experience leading software developers through design and development of custom applications.
