Come and join us! Intel is seeking highly qualified candidates to join our Data Center Group (DCG) as an Ethernet Fabric Marketing Engineer!

Do you have a passion for high performance networking? The High-Performance Fabric Division, within the Connectivity Group (CG) in the Data Center Group focuses on delivering end-to-end networking solutions for the Cloud and On-premise data center. The network is the foundation of the Cloud. CG is delivering Intel networking innovation from the Rack through the switch and into the core of the data center itself, all at the speed of light. The CG portfolio of products expands across Ethernet, SmartNICs, Silicon Photonics and the Intel Omni-Path Fabric.

As an Ethernet Fabric Marketing Engineer, you will work directly with Cloud and/or Datacenter end customers as part of the design win or sales cycle to understand your customer’s business needs. You will work to identify Intel products, technology, solutions, and ecosystem capabilities that will benefit the customer and create the foundation for revenue and business success. You will understand customer networking problems from the edge to the core with a focus on Ethernet in the rack and network core, and solve them through the combination of Intel and SI partner solutions. You will collaborate with Cloud or other higher performance fabric end customers, marketing, multi-national corporations and original equipment manufacturer OEMs, and solution sales teams to drive awareness and creation of Intel networking solutions. You will play a fundamental role in developing the future success, growth, direction and leadership with CG key partners/customers. In addition, you will lead Intel's product strategies and eventually go-to-market activities around Cloud and High-Performance Ethernet Switches. Frequent travel within the region will be required.

Job responsibilities will include, but be limited to:

  • Identify new customer challenges, or new approaches to existing customer challenges, and create business plans to address those challenges, from proof-of-concept, to design wins, to trails, and eventually to market deployment.

  • Provide business case development and analysis for the High-Performance Ethernet portfolio.

  • Develop use cases, value propositions, and overall product/portfolio positioning for the High-Performance Ethernet Fabric Switch Silicon and System portfolio.

  • Manage multiple projects through direct and virtual teams.

  • Drive CG revenue goals on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis using a metric-driven management approach.

  • Develop direct relationships with Senior Management and key decision makers in system integrations and end customers within the named vertical and target sectors.

  • Provide regular reports showing key opportunities under pursuit, what solutions we are creating, and sales with existing clients to up-sell additional offerings.

  • Provide strategic insight to other key executives regarding product direction.

  • Actively participate in high profile vertical forums and trade shows, and represent Intel's direction and interest in industry bodies and public forums.

  • Create excitement about and demonstrate the value of new technologies through technical conferences and presentations sometimes including to the press.

  • Be involved with collaborative project work for trials or proof of concepts.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

Bachelor degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field, plus 6 years of related work experience, Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field, plus 4 years of related work experience, or PhD in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field, plus 2 years of related work experience.

  • 6 plus years of experience and knowledge of business development and business enabling across key accounts in the international marketplace.

  • 6 plus years of experience in Ethernet networks, switches, NICs, and high-performance network solutions.

  • 6 plus years of experience with hands-on solution design and development hardware, software, system.

  • 4 plus years of experience in with Cloud or High-Performance fabric end users.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous and relevant industry experience, which includes, but not limited to subject matter expertise and access to key industry contacts, e.g. executives and thought leaders, as well as tier one decision makers and influencers.

  • Domain expertise in one or more of the following: Ethernet, switches, high performance fabrics, network operating systems, network programming, optical interfaces, low latency architectures, and datacenter networks.

  • Entrepreneurial thinking and ability to envision next-generation approaches to business issues, working multiple angles to a solution, including partnerships, providers, and stakeholders.

  • A passion for high performance fabrics, Cloud networking, next generation Ethernet, and delivering innovation solutions into a dynamic, competitive marketplace.....and winning!
