Job SummaryThe Manufacturing Technician is responsible for carrying out a variety of roles within a production/ cleanroom environment. These can include, but are not limited to, inventory management (parts orders and returns), product delivery (on-site), and parts washing. The Manufacturing Technician will be required to operate technical equipment and machinery. The Manufacturing Technician position requires knowledge and application of Avantor and customer systems. Reporting and customer interaction is typically of a routine nature. Candidate must be able to read, understand, and follow detailed technical documentation and instructions while unsupervised. Candidate must be able to generate accurate and detailed written reports on a daily basis. Ability to analysis and interpret data is a must.• Clean and transport quartz and other parts for semiconductor equipment while following all safety guidelines• Interface with customer on specific needs• Manage cleaning & transport of parts in adherence to customer’s production requirements• Ability to operate equipment used for cleaning, with maintenance of parts as needed• Perform audits on inventory and work areas• Inventory management of manufacturing parts in customer’s computer system• Coordinate transport of parts within campus• Train new Manufacturing Technicians on job aspects

QUALIFICATIONS (Education/Training, Experience and Certifications)

  • High school diploma or GED required; 2 year technical degree or related experience preferred

  • Mechanical aptitude required

  • 2-5 years equivalent experience in material handling/inventory replenishment or customer service

  • Conform to all customer requirements for background checks, health and safety issues, security clearances and medical checkups.

  • Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office with proficiency in Word and Excel

  • Solid understanding and experience in logistics and inventory

  • Excellent Customer Service Skills; displays a professional can do attitude

  • High regard for safety, quality and adherence to protocols, policies and procedures

  • Ability to self-manage and self-motivate; forward thinking

  • Ability to prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines

  • Ability to communicate effectively with both the customer and internal contacts

  • Must be able to lift 50lbs minimum, and handle a cart weighing 100lbs.
