Aerotek Structural Engineer in Hillsboro, Oregon

Structural Engineer for production and management of construction documents. Responsibilities will include designing steel structural systems ranging from simple to complex for industrial and commercial facilities. Structures will include piping and conduit supports, anchors, catwalks, platforms, and pedestals on the tool install side. This person will also be creating construction documents including drawings and specifications. Communication and coordination with team members, clients, and sub-contractors across disciplines will be included as well to discuss design strategy.

Qualifications:

  • BS in Structural or Civil Engineering

  • At least 3 years structural engineering experience. Understanding of current building codes, particularly OSSC and ASCE7.

  • A PE, or EIT with desire to obtain PE. This role will eventually require someone to stamp.

  • Most projects will be on the industrial side, but all projects will require knowledge of steel materials.

  • ACI and AISC code knowledge.

  • Ability to calculate loads.

  • Familiarity with tool install pedestal design is a plus.
