Aerotek Telephonic Medical Assistant in Hillsboro, Oregon
Currently hiring for telephonic medical assistants that will answer inbound phone calls from patients, assist with scheduling doctor appointments and other duties as assigned.
Respond to an average 80 incoming phone calls per day and desktop items and refer if necessary
Call patients as directed by the provider and as necessary to follow up or schedule appointments
Obtain patient histories, medications, immunizations and other data in the Electronic Medical Record
Retrieve laboratory and radiology test results and instruct patients regarding medications and treatment per provider's instructions
Understand and interpret current immunization schedule
Understand and follow the approved prescription refill work flow and documentation requirements
Medical Assistant Certification (AAMA, NCCT, RMA)
MA experience (in-person or telephonic)
EMR/EHR experience (Epic or HealthConnect preferred)
Ability to type 32 words per minute
Strong computer skills (can navigate multiple screens and troubleshoot basic issues)
MS Office experience
Ability to multi-task
