Oracle User Experience Developer in Hillsboro, Oregon
Responsible for creating, evaluating and modifying prototypes to support evolving hardware and software application development.
As a member of the User Experience team, you will develop and apply software design/usability processes in the investigation of technical problems. May develop user profiles, with emphasis on human error control, display issues, visual interaction, physical manipulation and task and objective analyses. Provide product usability, evaluation and support to product development teams, including the analysis and investigation of applications/systems including tactile methods, visual graphics, web, multimedia, voice response and conversational user interaction. May assist in developing design concept and implementation, providing input on user design considerations. May produce specifications describing user needs and internal structures for product in development.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Typically seven years of software engineering or related experience needed.
This is a remote/office based position which may be performed anywhere in the United States except for within the state of Colorado.

The UX designer creates satisfying or compelling experiences for developer on Oracle’s Developer Resource Center and Community sites, often drawing on results from user research and workflow analysis.
Organizes information by translating user behavior into media structure and elements; crafting interactive experiences; producing workflow diagrams, user scenarios, flowcharts, and storyboards; preparing interaction specifications, navigation rules, organization of information, and site maps; coordinating with business, technology, visual, structural, editorial, cognitive, and brand strategists.
Lead and grow our design systems at scale and work with user-centered design approaches and interaction design.
Turn Developers feedback and sentiments into clear design principles and user scenarios.
Create an intake and governance plan for design patters to scale and meet our growing needs.
Maintain a shared Figma library and design tools
Partner and work closely with engineering to embed their ideas into the component design.
Ability to communicate and present your design process at all layers inside the company.
Analyze user feedback and activity, and iterating to enhance the user experience
Assisting with content development and conduct competitor and customer analysis
Coordinate with Web Producers and creative and production departments to implement strategies
5 years of industry experience
Proven experience in design systems and mastering design tools like Figma, Photoshop, Sketch or Illustrator. Similar modern tools are more than welcome.
Ability to build prototype in a timely manner, from sketch to shipping design solutions.
Passionate about your work, and able to simplify complex designs into a simple and clean user development experience.
You love to learn fast, you are self-motivated and like working in a team of high technical peers.
Awareness of current and emerging design trends.
