A-dec, Inc. Manufacturing Engineer Senior- Machining (Temporary) in Newberg, Oregon
A-dec is looking for an experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. This technical expert will play a critical role in the implementation of strategic product development, process improvement and manufacturing advancement projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of excellence and passion for developing new products/processes, implementing manufacturing engineering projects and partnering with the production and engineering teams to inspire collaboration. A strong sense of responsibility and drive is essential to ensure quality, cost and delivery goals are achieved.
Performs complicated manufacturing engineering assignments of complexity under general direction, requiring a high degree of technical and professional competence. Develops and manages manufacturing engineering project schedules, deliverables and goals to support manufacturing and corporate objectives. Leads cross-departmental project teams; provides direction and mentors other manufacturing engineers and technicians.
Provides complex problem solving and technical support in the design, fabrication, modification and evaluation of manufacturing processes and new products.
Oversees the development of production and process control information, prepares technical analysis, recommends manufacturing methods and processes required to meet design objectives on new or improved products and/or processes.
Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Process, Mechanical or related engineering discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master’s preferred or equivalent experience, along with 5 years of relevant professional/technical engineering experience with increasing responsibility and difficulty of assignments.
Ability to apply interpretations of other related engineering disciplines to specific projects.
Demonstrated experience with conventional project management; strong organizational and time management abilities.
Ability to work independently and effectively lead cross-functional teams.
Excellent ability to effectively communicate in oral, written and graphical form.
CNC machining, laser etching, sheet metal forming, tube bending, welding, powder coating and/or other part finishing processes experience.
Final product, sub systems, upholstery, hydraulic, pneumatic and/or electronics assembly experience.
Expert in Lean Manufacturing principals (value stream, kaizen, 6S, 3P, etc.).
Experience with Microsoft AX, Project, Access, Visio, SharePoint and/or Power BI.
PMP, Six Sigma Black Belt and/or Lean Certification.
Knowledge of ISO 13485/UL/FDA standards for medical device industry.
Drug Screen and Background Check required.
