Lifeways is currently seeking a full-time Human Resources Generalist ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. - Maintains electronic and paper employee records according to State and Federal requirements - Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all organization personnel; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains the employee handbook and the policies and procedures manual. - Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems. - Assures compliance with all local, State, and Federal employment laws, making proactive recommendations when potential issues are identified or arise - Maintains a high level of professionalism on confidentiality of employee and/or company information - Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems. - Processes, tracks, and maintains leaves of absence, including FMLA and Workers Compensation - Handles employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling and exit interviewing. - Responsible for the onboarding process for all employees. - Assist with benefit administration and worker's compensation - Review and process all new hires, terminations and other payroll changes in HRIS to assure accuracy and compliance with law and company guidelines. - Perform various weekly, bi-weekly and monthly administrative audits to ensure compliance with company standards and practices. - Responsible for the upkeep of employee files, including creating and maintaining accurate files. - Assist employees with HR inquiries. - Coaching managers/supervisors on how to proactively address and resolve issues - Addresses investigations and grievances promptly and in a professional manner - Participates in the implementation of company-wide initiatives, training, process improvements, and programs. - Assist with special projects as assigned. - Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars - Provides Training to HR Staff
