Lifeways is currently seeking to fill multiple shifts (Full-time, Part-Time and PRN) as a Residential Associate to provide services for our inpatient recovery center in Ontario, OR. POSITION SUMMARY: The Residential Associate assists clients with substance abuse and mental health disorders, working under direction of clinical, nursing and medical staff. This includes assisting clients with daily schedules, leading clients in educational and recreational activities, and accompanying them to and from examinations and treatments. Supports the delivery of individual client care. This is a direct care position in a residential setting. This position provides assistance to clients at the direction of counseling staff. Will provide a wide variety of duties, to include significant interaction with clients in their efforts toward recovery. Provides day-to-day delivery of services. Must bring strong dedication to developing and delivering quality care. Staff may perform a wide range of residential activities including overseeing day-to-day activities (cleaning, meal preparation, room searches). ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: The duties listed are characteristic of the type and level of work associated with this class. Individual positions may do all or some combination of the duties listed as well as other related duties. - Assist clients per directives of counselors. May transport clients to appointments or group outings. Assist with general housekeeping duties and meal preparation. Provide support to treatment plan through social interaction with clients. - Monitors client activities, provides security checks throughout shift, completes documentation to include, but not limited to, rounds sheets and End of Shift reports; records client behavior. - Participates in direct client care including ensuring individual safety and interacting therapeutically. - Assists in the activities of clients' daily schedule. - Assists with de-escalation. - Performs all aspects of client belongings processing for new admissions and resulting from visitations, including search, debugging, and delivery. - Assists clients with packing of belongings in preparation for discharge. - Monitors for client compliance with rules and schedules. - Partner with Clinical Coordinator to conduct a welcoming New Client Orientation. - Assists with all aspects of visitation program, including greeting, sign-in, orientation, search and belongings processing. - Understands the principles of 12-Step Programs and how they apply to the recovery process of the addicted client. - Aids and instructs clients in facilitation and presentation of the clinical curriculum with corresponding notes in medical records system. - Is proficient with all technology hardware, company systems and tools required to perform duties. - Demonstrates appropriate confidentiality at all times when interacting with clients, residents, families, vi
