Come join the Autodesk Robotics Lab and help realize the future of robotics in manufacturing, architecture, construction, and media. We are a small, multi-disciplinary team focusing on the latest technology trends in robotics and machine learning. This summer, we are seeking an intern who can help transform robotic development workflow in construction and manufacturing. You will assist us in creating a Revit-to-Robot import-export pipeline, transforming complex designs into automation-ready models and simulations.
Coordinate with members of the Robotics Lab to establish requirements and parameters for a Revit-to-Robot pipeline
Develop programmatical methods to export parametric- and meta-data from Revit designs
Design and implement data quality checks and model validation methods
Hands-on experience in either C# or C++ Proficiency with Autodesk's Revit (BIM) software
·Knowledge of geometric representations and transformations (obtained through experience in 3D CAD modelling, computer graphics, structural engineering, robotics, or any related field)
Excellent communication skills
Full-time student pursuing an BSc. or higher in Architecture and Design, Robotics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
Students must reside and attend university in the country where the internship is being offered
Experience with robotic manipulators and control systems
Experience with physics-driven simulation software (eg.Unity, Gazebo, Simulink,Simscape)
Knowledge of at least one of (Fusion, Inventor, Maya)
About the US Intern Program
The U.S. program runs from May through August for 12 weeks and will be remote (subject to change). All internships are paid. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects, be mentored by industry leaders, work alongside peers from universities all over the country and participate in tech talks and other activities designed to support your personal and professional development. US recruiting begins in the Fall and concludes end of March.
