About the Position We are looking to hire a Personal Care Associate OR Residential Associate at our New Roads RTH program in Pendleton, OR. If you have experience working as a Direct Support Professional (DSP), Residential Assistant (RA), Residential Counselor, Skills Trainer, or Caregiving for a client experiencing severe mental illness, then this position might be a good fit for you! Work Schedule: Friday ' Monday, 2:00pm-10:30pm (Swing) This position requires that applicants have the ability to work as a member of a direct care team serving adults with severe and persistent mental illness; to support the development of life skills; perform housekeeping and meal preparation; and pass medication. In addition, you will receive crisis de-escalation training, which requires performing various physical, hands-on maneuvers and techniques. Qualifications Personal Care Associate: a)Caregiving and/or mental health experience (personal or professional) is preferred. b)A dedication to the well-being of each client and helping them meet their Activities of Daily Living (ADL). Residential Associate: a)Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science: Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or Human Development; b)OR minimum 6,000 HOURS verifiable mental health experience working with Severe Persistent Mental Illness population in a supervised social service setting; c)OR equivalent combination of behavioral science education in addition to satisfactory supplemental mental health experience and training Successful applicants MUST also have a valid Oregon driver's license, maintain a safe driving record, and the ability to pass a DHS criminal background check.
