Enterprise Information Security’s (EIS) vision is to provide Wells Fargo world leading cyber security risk management. Through a framework, that addresses policy, process, operations, people, and technology, EIS protects Wells Fargo’s infrastructure, corporate data, and customer assets, and ensures alignment with applicable regulations and laws. EIS is part of Wells Fargo's Enterprise Finance & Information Technology (EF&IT) organization led by the Chief Information Security Officer.

Location: This position can sit in any core Wells Fargo location or telecommute.

The Security Code Review (SCR) team is part of the Wells Fargo Enterprise Information Security Cyber Security Defense and Monitoring organization that is responsible for identifying, documenting, and assessing Information Security risks within Wells Fargo critical applications using a static methodology for deep-level security code analysis.

This Applications Systems Engineer 5 - Security Code Review (SCR) team member will develop and support applications, tools, and databases used by the SCR team, including:

  • Developing, enhancing, and maintaining proprietary web applications while adhering to secure coding and risk reduction practices

  • Troubleshooting and researching support requests from users of the SCR applications

  • Testing and deploying code in all environments (Development, UAT, BCP, and Production)

  • Utilizing source control in a team environment, checking code in and out

  • Documenting software

  • Writing SQL queries, fulfilling requests for data, and creating reports

  • Participating in installations, upgrades, and BCP activities

This is a senior position on the Security Code Review (SCR)** team and will serve as a high-level technical security resource. Additional responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Defining new security code review applications and systems

  • Updating current SCR systems

  • Architectural level analyzing and designing SCR tools and technology

  • May also direct and serve as a mentor to less experienced staff

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of database experience

  • 1+ year of Spring experience

  • 5+ years of HTML (HyperText Markup Language) experience

  • 5+ years of JavaScript development experience

  • 5+ years of JDBC experience

  • 5 + years of J2EE experience

  • 7+ years of application development and implementation experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • A BS/BA degree or higher in engineering

  • A BS/BA degree or higher in information technology

  • Experience working in a large enterprise environment

  • Linux experience

  • Oracle experience

  • Web Services experience

  • Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities

  • Ability to translate and present complex technical data across technical and non-technical groups

  • Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important

  • Knowledge and understanding of banking or financial services industry

  • Knowledge and understanding of information security principles, policies, and procedures

  • Knowledge and understanding of project management methodologies, processes, and tools

  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills

  • 1+ year of Apache experience

  • 1+ year of JIRA experience

  • 2+ years of MVC (Model-View-Controller) Framework experience

  • 3+ years of UNIX experience

  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
