Oregon Health & Science University Certified Nursing Assistant in Portland, Oregon
The NRM Ancillary Float Pool provides care to patients throughout OHSU Hospital and Doernbecher Children's Hospital.
The CNA2 is part of the health care team in locations throughout OHSU. The CNA2 provides direct or general nursing care to patients from admission through discharge under the direction of a licensed nurse and within the parameters of the state licensing board. The CNA2 assists the patient, patients' families, nursing staff and other support staff to assure the delivery of quality care in a safe and comfortable environment. The NRM Ancillary Float Pool CNA2 will work with patients of all ages throughout University Hospital and Doernbecher Children's Hospital.
Current unencumbered CNA Certification
CNA2 upon hire
BLS at time of hire and must be issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) or Military Training Network branch of AHA (upload documentation with online application)
BLS must not expire during orientation or probation period, and must have the same expiration date (upload documentation with online application)
Verification of High School Diploma or GED
Basic math skills
Basic medical terminology
Ability to read, write and communicate effectively
Intermediate computer skills
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation
