Introduction to the team

The Communications Senior Specialist works closely with the Internal Communications Manager, our creative services group, and members of other National office departments to drive internal communication strategies for the firm. This position is looked to for communications expertise, project management, writing and editing, and development and execution of our various communications strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide proactive internal communications guidance and support to departmental and regional groups throughout the firm, developing and executing effective internal communications plans and programs

  • Produce a variety of communication deliverables that align with our brand strategy, including articles, emails, key messages, slide decks, reports, toolkits, and videos

  • Manage content for centralized communication channels, including our firmwide digital signage and intranet homepage

  • Measure the effectiveness of internal communications and channels on an ongoing basis, and make recommendations to review and amend strategy as appropriate

  • Work to streamline, establish, and uphold communication processes

  • Provide communication project support, including strategic planning and writing/editing, to national marketing managers as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; emphasis in English, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field preferred

  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience required; experience in a professional services environment preferred

  • Track record of managing and executing communication tactics in the context of a broader strategy

  • Outstanding writing, editing, and proofreading skills

  • Solid understanding of and passion for communication best practices and emerging trends

  • Strong project management skills – the ability to own and drive project schedule from start to finish, including managing peers and individuals senior to you

  • Ability to travel as needed, approximately 5%
